EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION RESEARCH GROUP at KADIR HAS UNIVERSITY (EDI-KHAS)
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion research group is a collective of academics based at Kadir Has University whose work encompasses, at least in part, the examination of diversity-related issues. Our group is comprised of academics from a range of disciplines, including sociology, economics, law, psychology, communications and engineering, as well as gender studies.
Many of us initially concentrated our research on gender-related matters but subsequently expanded our scope to encompass intersectionality and a more comprehensive range of diversity and inclusion issues. It is our contention that the creation of diverse academic environments is not only beneficial for the individuals involved, but also leads to the generation of superior research outcomes. A research project that lacks a diversity perspective is, by definition, incomplete and therefore lacking in certain respects. Our objective is to incorporate this perspective into our own research and to assist others in developing a similar approach.
At Kadir Has University EDI research group, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are vital for promoting scientific progress and forming the foundation of a flourishing and supportive academic research environment.
